Drifting investigates the impact technology have on daydreaming, while re-evaluating Maladaptive Daydreaming (MD), a psychiatric disorder involving excessive daydreaming that interferes with real life.
The video installation seeks to recognise the importance of daydreaming, as technology often disrupts the moments that we spend alone in our minds. In addition, daydreaming does not comply with the functions of the society; thus, the negative effects of daydreaming may seem more prominent than its positive counterpart.
The video captured my moments during my daydream, my body represents an abstract dimension rather than a portraiture. Using daydreaming in my artwork turns perceived procrastination into productivity.
